Why I Do This Work
I grew up as the youngest in a home shaped by divorce.
There are few photographs of me—and even fewer of me with my mother.
I didn’t have images that showed how I was loved, held, or seen.
That absence stayed with me.
When I entered motherhood myself, I found I was doing it alone.
There was no one documenting the way I softened, stretched, broke open, and became.
No one capturing the quiet, holy moments between me and my daughter.
I hired photographers.
I celebrated every milestone.
But the images were always of her—not us.
Not me becoming a mother.
Not the story of my own transformation.
I realized something:
A child is often celebrated, but the mother—the woman who is changing—goes unseen.
Motherhood is powerful.
It is raw, emotional, and deeply sacred.
I believe every mother deserves to see herself in it.
Not posed.
Not polished.
But as she truly is:
Powerful. Tender. Resilient. Beautiful.
My work is not just about photographs.
It is about witnessing the woman who is becoming a mother—and giving her back the proof of her own strength.
So when you look at your images, I want you to feel awe.
Not just for your baby—
but for you.
You deserve to be remembered too.

I photograph the parts of motherhood that can’t be posed —
the small, extraordinary moments that happen in the quiet.
The weight of your baby sleeping on your chest.
The slow breath before the next contraction.
The way your body softens when you are seen.
No performance.
No perfection.
Just presence.
This is the story of becoming.

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother — never.”

my approach

Motherhood is already full.
Birth is already intense.
Newborn days are already tender.
Business is already lonely.
Love is already there.
You don’t need to perform here.
My presence is quiet and steady.
I move with the rhythm of the room.
I honor your emotional landscape and your natural bond.
If you need silence, I give space.
If you need grounding, I offer steadiness.
If you need support, I soften the moment.
If you need confidence, I boost the ego.
I notice:
The way your hand rests on your baby’s back
The way you breathe into each wave of labor
The way love moves through your home in quiet ways
I don’t rush.
I don’t pose.
I don’t interrupt.
I witness you.
You are already enough.
You are already powerful.
You are already becoming.
